New moon and full moon dates with 5-day windows. WhaleClaw tracks lunar timing as one of the inputs to the MTF Strategy panel — certain phases historically correlate with directional tendencies.

Scheduled data releases that move markets:

  • CPI — Consumer Price Index (monthly, 8:30 AM ET)
  • PPI — Producer Price Index (monthly, 8:30 AM ET)
  • NFP — Non-Farm Payrolls (first Friday, 8:30 AM ET)
  • GDP — Quarterly GDP releases

FOMC meeting dates (8 per year) and individual Fed speaker schedules. Hawkish/dovish commentary from Fed officials can create intraday volatility.

Derivatives expiry dates on CME and Deribit. Large expiries often create positioning pressure in the days leading up to them.

Days remaining until the next Bitcoin halving event.

Sunday planning: Read the digest Sunday night. Note which days have risk events. Plan your position sizing accordingly.

Pre-event risk management: Before CPI, NFP, or FOMC — consider reducing leverage or tightening stops. These events create sudden volatility that can blow through levels.

Confluence with MTF: The MTF Strategy panel already incorporates lunar timing. Use the Important Timestamps to see the broader calendar context.
